Real Wedding: Rebecca & Ian’s Rustic Marquee Wedding

It was an absolute delight to work with Rebecca and Ian on their beautiful rustic wedding at Coolington Barn. They booked the Classic Package, designed for those last-minute bookings (subject to availability, of course!).

Rebecca and Ian had chosen a relaxed yet elegant rustic theme, with trestle tables and potted plants as centrepieces in the reception. They envisioned a cohesive look with sage green as the main colour, so we incorporated that across their stationery. The place cards were particularly special, featuring sage green card with white handwritten names.

One of my favourite elements to create for this wedding was the floral details on the signage and printed stationery. Rebecca and Ian wanted the florals on their wedding day to flow seamlessly through every detail. Lizzie Jones from The Flower Story provided the most stunning blooms, and it was a joy to echo those designs in the stationery. The welcome sign greeted guests as they arrived at Coolington Barn with a soft and inviting floral touch, and the table plan was set up in the marquee, beautifully tying together the rustic vibe with subtle yet charming details.

For the table menus, we opted for one per table, which fit perfectly with the relaxed, communal dining style. Ross and Ross provided the catering, which everyone was raving about! I heard nothing but wonderful things about the food, and it’s always a pleasure to work with such highly regarded suppliers. The table numbers were simple yet stylish, helping guests find their seats while blending seamlessly with the rustic aesthetic of the venue.

Coolington Barn is a private house with the most beautiful marquee set up, and photographer Anna Norden captured the day beautifully. It was lovely to be part of such a personal and heartfelt day.
