I am now a member of the Sustainable Wedding Alliance!
The SWA is a collective of wedding businesses who are all working together and in their own way to make the wedding industry more eco conscious and sustainable. The SWA helps us along our journey and highlights where we can be changing and improving our practices.
The Sustainable Wedding Alliance can also help you as an engaged couple find suppliers that are as passionate about the environment as you, and also give you helpful tips about how to make your wedding day more sustainable.
Some ideas that you may have overlooked are:
Book local suppliers to cut down on petrol
Have your ceremony & reception all in the same venue
Hire items rather than buying new
Find a florist who uses British grown flowers
There are so many suppliers on the SWA’s Supplier Directory, all of whom (including me!) have had to go through a rigorous process of application to be accepted, so you know we’re all serious about what we do!
