Learn to create eye-catching lettering designs for chalkboards, whether it is for a bar, restaurant or wedding. In this five-week course, discover how to adapt your lettering to form designs, add decorative elements, and scale-up designs.
Striking Chalkboards are a fun way to get any message across. By understanding the structure of lettering, and how to combine different sizes and styles together, you will be able to create attractive and cohesive designs. You will be guided through adding shadows, volume, colour, flourishes, banners and illustrations as well as different font styles. To get the most from your design, including table plan layouts and menus, you will learn how to scale up a design and avoid any pitfalls.
In the final session of the course, you will apply everything you have learned to a project and receive lots of guidance from your tutor throughout.
This course is suitable for all, whether you are just starting out or looking to find new ideas and inspiration.
The 5 week course will be delivered via Zoom and run from Friday 12th September to Friday 10th October 2025. It will be recorded to allow you to re-watch.
Your kit is included as part of the course fee, and there is also an option without a kit for those that already have it.
